What You’ll Be Doing

As our Management Accountant, you’ll work across both iSelect and Compare the Market, getting into the numbers, uncovering what’s driving them and partnering with teams across both businesses.

• Own key parts of the month-end process, including journals, accruals and reconciliations
• Help keep revenue reporting accurate, working closely with our Revenue, Assurance and Reporting teams to investigate and resolve issues
• Prepare partner commission statements and make sure payments align with commercial agreements
• Play an active role in budgeting and forecasting, providing analysis and insights along the way
• Partner with leaders across both brands, helping them understand their budgets, manage spend and spot opportunities for savings
• Support year-end and audit activities to keep reporting accurate and on track
• Look for smarter, more efficient ways of working while maintaining strong financial controls and processes

What Sets You Apart

You’re a hands-on accountant who enjoys getting into the detail, but you’re just as comfortable stepping away from the spreadsheet and working with people across the business.

You’ll also bring:

• CA/CPA qual and at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role
• Strong Excel skills and experience with cloud-based accounting systems (any TechOne is a bonus!)
• A sharp eye for detail and a proactive approach to getting things done
• A calm, organised approach that helps you stay on top of deadlines and competing priorities
• A natural curiosity for finding better, simpler ways of working
• Clear, confident communication skills and the ability to build great relationships across the business
• A collaborative approach and a genuine willingness to jump in and help the team
