The role

\n

This role is ideal for someone with two to three years of agency SEO experience who wants to develop into a well-rounded search specialist with genuine GEO expertise. You'll work alongside our SEO lead and founder to execute SEO campaigns, lead GEO initiatives, and help clients grow their visibility across both traditional search engines and AI-powered search experiences.

You'll work across a diverse portfolio of clients in solar, construction, legal, and professional services while developing deep expertise in technical SEO, content strategy, entity optimisation, AI search, and digital PR.

Hybrid from our Richmond office. $70,000 to$90,000 depending on experience.

What you'll do

• Execute technical, on-page and content SEO strategies across a portfolio of clients to improve organic performance.
\n
• Develop and implement GEO strategies that increase client visibility across AI-powered search platforms including ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot and Google AI Overviews.
\n
• Lead outreach and digital PR strategies for GEO clients — securing high quality citations, brand mentions and authoritative backlinks that strengthen AI search visibility.
\n
• Develop GEO-focused content strategies, identifying opportunities to create, optimise and structure content for both traditional search and AI-generated answers.
\n
• Conduct keyword research, search intent analysis and competitor research to uncover new growth opportunities.
\n
• Perform technical SEO and GEO audits across crawlability, indexing, entity optimisation, structured data, site architecture and AI readiness.
\n
• Implement best practices including internal linking, schema markup, entity optimisation, llms.txt, structured content and AI-friendly information architecture.
\n
• Monitor SEO and AI search performance, analyse trends, and provide actionable recommendations through regular reporting. That includes AI referral traffic and citation tracking — not just rankings.
\n
• Stay at the forefront of SEO and AI search developments, testing new approaches and contributing ideas that improve client performance and internal processes.
\n
• Present strategy and results to clients and translate search visibility into commercial outcomes — leads, enquiries, and revenue, not just traffic numbers.

What you'll bring

\n

• Two to three years of SEO experience within a digital marketing agency.
\n
• A solid understanding of technical SEO, on-page optimisation, keyword research, content optimisation and link building.
\n
• A genuine understanding of Generative Engine Optimisation principles and how AI search platforms retrieve, interpret and cite content. We want evidence of what you changed and how you measured it — not just opinions on where search is heading.

• Experience or strong interest in digital PR, outreach and authority building.
\n
• Familiarity with SEO tools including Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs or SEMrush, and Looker Studio.
\n
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and turn it into actionable recommendations.
\n
• Commercially literate — you connect visibility to enquiries, leads and revenue, not just traffic.
\n
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and priorities simultaneously.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication. You tell clients and the team early and honestly when something isn't working, and you bring the fix with it.
\n
• A proactive, curious mindset and a genuine passion for search, AI and continuous learning.
