\nAbout the Position \n
\n

Join the Facilities Management team at Bond University and play a key role in maintaining the beautiful campus environment that students, staff and visitors enjoy every day. Reporting to the Head of Grounds, this hands‑on position offers the opportunity to contribute to the presentation, upkeep and functionality of the University’s outdoor spaces while supporting a range of general facilities activities.

As a Handy Person (Assistant Gardener), you will undertake a variety of gardening, maintenance, cleaning and labouring duties using both manual and powered tools and equipment. Working with a supportive and collaborative team, you will enjoy a varied workload, the opportunity to develop your skills through ongoing training, and the satisfaction of seeing the direct impact of your work across one of Australia's most distinctive university campuses.

\nAbout the Person \n
\n

We are seeking a reliable and motivated team player who enjoys outdoor work and takes pride in maintaining high-quality environments.

\n

The ideal applicant will have the following:

\n
\n

\n
\n
• Certificate I or II in a relevant field and/or at least 12 months' practical experience in a similar gardening or grounds maintenance role.
\n
\n
• Experience using gardening, maintenance and general groundskeeping tools and equipment safely and effectively.
\n
\n
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
\n
\n
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
\n
\n
• A commitment to quality workmanship and attention to detail.
\n
\n
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe work environment.
\n
\n
• Previous experience within a tertiary education environment will be highly regarded.
\n
\n

\nSalary Details \n
\n

The salary for the position commences at $68,134.92 per annum, plus 12% superannuation.
