As a Condition Monitoring Technician, you will be responsible for collecting, analysing and interpreting condition data from conveyor belts and associated monitoring systems. Your work will help customers identify developing issues, plan maintenance activities and reduce the risk of unexpected equipment and conveyor belt failures. You will work both independently and alongside our services, technical and commercial teams, with regular interaction with customer maintenance and engineering personnel.

Key responsibilities \n

  • Conducting on-site condition monitoring, inspections and data collection.
    • \n
  • Performing predictive maintenance inspections using ultrasonic monitoring equipment.
    • \n
  • Undertaking visual inspections of conveyor belts and associated equipment.
    • \n
  • Carrying out conveyor belt carcass thickness measurements and NDT testing using specialist scanning equipment.
    • \n
  • Performing online conveyor belt scanning and interpreting condition data.
    • \n
  • Monitoring and trending customer conveyor monitoring systems remotely.
    • \n
  • Installing and commissioning sensors and associated monitoring equipment.
    • \n
  • Performing laser alignment activities on site.
    • \n
  • Supporting conveyor belt splice quality assurance testing.
    • \n
  • Analysing inspection and monitoring results to identify developing faults and changes in condition.
    • \n

About you \n

    \n
  • Experience in condition monitoring, mechanical maintenance, mining, conveyors, reliability or a related technical field.
    • \n
  • An understanding of mechanical equipment and rotating machinery.
    • \n
  • Experience using inspection, measurement or diagnostic equipment.
    • \n
  • Strong attention to detail and an analytical approach to interpreting data.
    • \n
  • The ability to identify trends and communicate developing equipment conditions.
    • \n
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
    • \n
  • The ability to prepare professional technical reports.
    • \n
  • A strong commitment to safety and following site procedures.
    • \n
  • The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a broader team.
    • \n
  • A willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
    • \n
