Finance Manager - Data Centres

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a technically strong and hands-on Finance Manager to join a high-growth investment and Data Centre infrastructure business on a permanent basis.

\n

Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in managing the group reporting, consolidation, technical accounting and statutory reporting functions across a complex, multi-jurisdictional group.

The role \n

You will take ownership of the day-to-day group reporting cycle and monthly consolidation, ensuring high-quality and timely financial information is delivered to senior management and the Board.

Key responsibilities will include: \n

\n
• Managing the monthly group consolidation across Australian and US entities, including intercompany eliminations and foreign currency translation.
\n
• Owning the group month-end close, including reconciliations, controls and timely reporting.
\n
• Preparing half-year and year-end statutory financial statements, including notes and disclosures.
\n
• Supporting technical accounting matters and documenting the treatment of complex and non-routine transactions under AASB/IFRS.
\n
• Leading financial statement quality control, ensuring accuracy, consistency and completeness ahead of Board sign-off.
\n
• Acting as a key point of contact for external auditors and coordinating the audit process through to completion.
\n
• Identifying and implementing improvements across group reporting, consolidation, month-end and financial controls.
\n
• Supporting the implementation of new accounting standards, including AASB 18.
\n
• Working closely with finance teams across Australia and the US and partnering with senior finance stakeholders.

About you \n

You will be a technically strong accountant who enjoys working in a hands-on environment and is comfortable taking ownership of complex reporting activities.

\n

This would be an ideal move for a candidate making their first move out of a Big 4 firm, or someone who has already worked with a large business and who has taken ownership over a complex consolidation process.

You will ideally have: \n

\n
• CA/CPA qualification.
\n
• Strong technical accounting and group reporting experience.
\n
• Experience with consolidations across multiple entities and/or jurisdictions.
\n
• Strong statutory reporting and audit experience.
\n
• Excellent knowledge of AASB/IFRS accounting standards.
\n
• A hands-on approach with strong attention to detail and financial controls.
\n
• Experience operating in a complex or high-growth corporate, investment or infrastructure environment.
\n
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders and offshore/international finance teams.
