The Role \n

\n As a Housing Officer with Vinnies Housing, you’ll work from our South Brisbane based office and be part of a supportive, state-wide team delivering compassionate housing services to people in need. You’ll manage a small, focused portfolio that allows you to truly connect with tenants and help sustain long-term housing outcomes.

What you’ll do:

\n
• Build respectful, supportive relationships with tenants to help them sustain their housing
\n
• Deliver day-to-day tenancy and property management services
\n
• Collaborate with internal teams and local service providers
\n
• Ensure tenancy and property compliance in line with relevant policies and legislation
\n
• Connect tenants with appropriate support services to meet their individual needs
\n
• Conduct tenants visits as required to provide ongoing tenancy and client support
\n

This is a Permanent , Full-time (38 hours per week) position, based in South Brisbane .

What we are looking for: \n

• Experience in community or social housing is preferred but not required. We welcome candidates with transferable skills and a willingness to learn.
\n
• A genuine passion for helping people and building stronger communities
\n
• Life experience, emotional intelligence, and the ability to work respectfully with diverse individuals
\n
• Strong organisational and communication skills
\n
• Confidence using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
\n
• A commitment to learning, teamwork, and continuous improvement
\n
• Alignment with the mission and values of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland
\n
