About the Role \n

As a Yard Coordinator , you will play a vital role in managing the flow of vehicles and assets within our site. This hands‑on role involves forklift operation, overseeing asset check‑in via a handheld device, photographing vehicles, car detailing, decal removal and storage of assets all while ensuring compliance and safety standards are met.

Reporting to the Branch Manager , you will work closely with internal teams, transport providers, and external stakeholders to ensure efficient site operations.

Key Responsibilities \n

\n
• Perform vehicle check‑in, appraising, photographing and storage of assets, ensuring compliance with company standards.
\n
• Operate loaders and forklifts to manage asset movement within the yard safely.
\n
• Detail (thoroughly clean) vehicles to improve their appearance and enhance their value at auction, training provided
\n
• Recover keys, license plates, and other information or objects from vehicles at the facility and store them in the appropriate locations at the branch
\n
• Verify documentation and address any discrepancies in asset records.
\n
• Coordinate with transport providers for the timely delivery and removal of assets.
\n
• Assist clients, asessors and transporters with on‑site queries, ensuring a positive experience.
\n
• Maintain accurate operational records and report yard performance updates to management.
\n
• During catastrophe periods, high volumes of assets come into yard, and so the ability to work under pressure while still providing a quality service safely is essential.

What We’re Looking For \n

\n
• Experience: Minimum 2+ years in a similar operational role (automotive, auction, logistics, or salvage industries preferred).
\n
• Forklift License (or willingness to obtain).
\n
• Mechanically Minded – An interest in automotive, mechanical repairs, experience in the equipment industry experience desirable.
\n
• Problem‑Solving Ability – Experience handling logistical challenges and safety compliance.
\n
• Customer‑Focused Approach – Comfortable interacting with customers, suppliers, and team members.
\n
• Safety Focused– Must remain alert to potential hazards associated with heavy equipment and vehicles operating in the work area.
\n
• Physical Fitness – Ability to perform yard‑related tasks, including lifting and moving assets and working primarily outdoors in all weather types.
\n
• Driver’s Licence – Required for site operations.
\n
