With the continued expansion of our product portfolio to include Takeuchi Construction Equipment, Toyota Material Handling Australia (TMHA) is seeking an experienced and driven Area Sales Manager to join our growing Earthmoving & Construction Sales team based in Sydney.

\n

About the Role \n

As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving profitable new and used equipment sales throughout the Sydney territory. You'll build strong relationships with customers, identify new business opportunities, and provide expert product solutions that help our customers succeed.

Working closely with the Sales & Product Manager - Earthmoving, you will play a key role in expanding the presence of the Takeuchi and Toyota product range across the region.

Key Responsibilities \n

\n
• Drive profitable growth through the sale of new and used earthmoving and construction equipment.
\n
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships across a diverse customer base.
\n
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within your territory.
\n
• Conduct customer site visits, equipment demonstrations, and product presentations.
\n
• Prepare quotations, estimates, and tender submissions in accordance with company policies.
\n
• Provide customers with technical product advice and equipment recommendations.
\n
• Support sales and marketing campaigns, promotions, and product launches.
\n
• Monitor market activity and provide feedback on customer trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.
\n
• Assist with specialised equipment sales and technical product applications where required.
\n
• Represent TMHA and Takeuchi at industry events, field days, trade shows, and customer functions.
\n

About You \n

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Proven sales experience within the earthmoving, construction, industrial equipment, agricultural machinery, or related industries.
\n
• A track record of achieving sales targets and developing long-term customer relationships.
\n
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
\n
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
\n
• The ability to work autonomously while managing multiple priorities.
\n
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills across standard business systems and CRM platforms.
\n
• A proactive, customer-focused approach with a strong drive to succeed.
\n
