An established hospitality venue in Ballarat with a strong local following and a busy, diverse operation. This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for leading the venue team, setting standards and driving overall performance. Ballarat offers a strong regional lifestyle, good local amenities and a lower cost of living than Melbourne, while still being within easy reach of the city.

About the Position

This is a senior Venue Manager role for an experienced hospitality leader who knows how to build high-performing teams and drive venue results. You’ll lead the frontline team, set expectations, manage financials, and ensure the wider team is aligned around service, performance, and customer service. You’ll also oversee forecasting, rostering, and operational performance, working closely with senior stakeholders to deliver the venue’s objectives. Offering $85–90K + super, this is an opportunity to take genuine ownership of a significant venue operation.

Position Description

• Set clear expectations, standards and accountability across the operation
• Take ownership of venue financial performance and key numbers
• Forecast trade and ensure rosters and labor are aligned with anticipated business levels
• Monitor sales, costs, KPIs and overall venue performance
• Drive a strong customer service culture and customer retention
• Oversee operational standards, compliance and service delivery
• Work closely with senior stakeholders on venue strategy and performance
• Review operational results and identify opportunities for improvement

Position Requirements

• Previous Venue Manager or senior hospitality leadership experience
• Strong experience leading hospitality teams with a customer-centric mantra
• Proven ability to set expectations, coach teams and drive accountability
• Strong commercial understanding and confidence managing venue numbers
• Experience forecasting trade and using data to build effective rosters
• Experience managing labour, financial performance and operational KPIs
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Current RSA
• Strong understanding of liquor and venue compliance
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends and public holidays

Salary & Benefits
