Job description

This role works at the intersection of central Finance and Homes NSW executives, providing trusted financial advice, insightful analysis and strategic oversight to help Divisions achieve their priorities while maintaining strong financial governance and accountability.

Key responsibilities

  • The role provides trusted financial advice and strategic support to Divisional executives, helping them understand financial performance, manage risks and opportunities, and make informed decisions aligned with Homes NSW priorities.
  • The role also supports business cases and new initiatives through financial analysis, costing and funding advice, ensuring decisions align with government requirements, financial policies and strong governance.
  • A key part of the role is building trusted relationships across Divisions, central Finance and other stakeholders to ensure finance is embedded in business decision‑making.

What you need

  • In addition to the essential requirements outlined in the role description, the ideal candidate is a qualified accountant and trusted business partner who builds strong relationships quickly, communicates with influence and is confident engaging with senior executives and stakeholders.
  • You will have proven experience providing high-quality financial advice at an executive level, ideally within a large and complex organisation.
  • You will bring high professional standards, strong strategic and commercial thinking, and a willingness to challenge the status quo and identify better ways of working.
