As a ministry of Life Church, Brisbane Christian College is a thriving learning centre. It caters to Pre-Prep to Year 12 and nurtures over 1,200 young learners on three campuses. Our community is committed to becoming the preferred place of learning for the glory and honour of Jesus Christ.
Brisbane Christian College is dedicated to staying mission-true to its founders as a Christ-centred community honouring Jesus Christ in all we do. The College strongly emphasises holistic education by maintaining a balance between academic, co-curricular and spiritual engagement and a desire to grow our children's mission and community service opportunities.
Brisbane Christian College exists to advance the Christian religion through the provision of education and religious instruction. For the purposes of upholding the Christian ethos of our school, it is a genuine occupational requirement of this role that applicants be able to deliver religious education, lead, and otherwise assist in, religious practices and observances and personally adhere to, uphold, and authentically model the religious beliefs of Brisbane Christian College.
Staff are also required to witness the religious beliefs of Brisbane Christian College to the general public as the opportunity arises, through both words (sharing the faith of Brisbane Christian College with others) and actions (living a life that is consistent with the religious beliefs of Brisbane Christian College). As a representative of Brisbane Christian College, it is a genuine occupational requirement of all roles that staff hold and act consistently with the religious beliefs of Brisbane Christian College.

The successful applicant will have a high commitment to best practice and personal learning and an enthusiastic and positive approach to tasks. Teacher Assistants support the class teachers to establish and maintain a safe, stimulating, prayerful and productive learning environment that is engaging and supportive, and based on a Christian worldview. Five days (33.75 hours) per week, 40 weeks per year
Work hours: 8.00am-3.15pm
Certificate III in Educational Support and prior experience working with children preferred
Competency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, Apple and Google IT software is essential.
The successful applicant will hold a current Blue Card for working with children issued by the Queensland Government and will be able to fully support the Christian ethos of the College.
