About the Role

Reporting to senior leadership, the Finance Operations Manager will support the effective management of finance operations, ensuring strong financial governance, robust payment processes and accurate financial reporting.

This role would suit a finance professional with several years of relevant experience who is ready to broaden their commercial exposure across finance operations, acquisitions, contracts and significant commercial activities.

A key component of the role will be supporting major commercial projects and initiatives, providing valuable exposure to project financial management and strategic business activities.

Experience with audited accounts is essential. Exposure to foreign currency and/or commodity markets would also be highly advantageous, given the nature of the organisation and its commercial activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day finance operations, reporting and financial controls.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payment processes and cash flow.
• Ensure accurate, timely and compliant payment processes.
• Prepare management reports, budgets and forecasts.
• Provide financial insights and support to senior management.
• Assist with the financial management and reporting of significant commercial projects.
• Support acquisitions, due diligence and integration activities.
• Review and monitor commercial contracts from a financial and operational perspective.
• Manage key internal and external stakeholder relationships.
• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, systems and controls.
• Support efficient and scalable finance operations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, legislation and internal policies.

About You

You will be a motivated finance professional with several years of relevant experience and a desire to develop your career in a commercially focused resources environment.

You will ideally bring:

• Experience in finance operations, financial management or a similar role.
• Demonstrated experience with audited accounts – essential.
• Experience managing payment processes and financial controls.
• Experience with financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Exposure to acquisitions, due diligence or business integration.
• An understanding of contracts and commercial agreements.
• Experience with, or an interest in, project finance and significant commercial activities.
• Exposure to foreign currency and/or commodity markets – highly advantageous.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and financial integrity.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline. CPA/CA would be highly regarded.
