We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Safety & Compliance person to join our team in Dandenong South Victoria. Working with the other State based Safety & Compliance Officers Australia wide and reporting to the Head of Safety you will work from Monday to Friday. Key Responsibilities: \n

• Creating, maintaining existing safety policies and procedures tailored to our workplace and industry.
\n
• Identifying potential hazards and evaluating their severity and likelihood of occurrence.
\n
• Ensuring that all employees adhere to established safety protocols and regulations.
\n
• Regularly inspecting workplaces, equipment, and processes to identify areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
\n
• Thoroughly examining accidents and near misses to determine root causes and prevent future occurrences.
\n
• Educating employees through Inductions & VOC's on safety procedures, hazard awareness, and the proper use of safety equipment.
\n
• Keeping accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, incident reports, and relevant documentation.
\n
• Monitoring changes in safety regulations and ensuring that the workplace remains compliant with all applicable laws and standards.
\n
• Assisting and recommending to management and employees on safety-related matters.
\n
• Conduct Depot ,Warehouse & Vehicle Safety Inspections

About You: \n

To be successful with this role, you will have:

\n

\n
• An understanding of OH&S regulations and other relevant safety standards.
\n
• Experience in Logistics Industry with knowledge of HACCP food safety standards.
\n
• Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate potential hazards and report.
\n
• To convey Safety information in line with Company Policy & Procedures.
\n
• Ability to analyse incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
\n
• Meticulous in conducting inspections, maintaining records, and ensuring accuracy in safety-related tasks.
\n
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain organised records.
\n
• Ability to make sound judgments regarding safety matters.
\n
• Ability to occasionally travel to different sites. Eg: Customer sites etc
\n
