SEQ Formwork is seeking a reliable and hardworking Precast Stair Welder / Concreter / Steel Fixer to join our team in a permanent, yard-based position.
\n
The primary focus of this role is the fabrication and preparation of precast concrete stairs , including welding reinforcement cages, steel fixing, form preparation, concrete pouring and finishing.

This position is ideal for an experienced precast worker, welder, concreter or steel fixer who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys consistent work in a structured team environment.

About the Role \n
Based at our Alberton yard, you will assist with the complete production process for precast stairs and other concrete elements. This is a practical, hands‑on role involving welding, steel fixing, concreting and general yard duties.
Key Responsibilities \n

Welding reinforcement cages for precast concrete stairs
\n - \n
Steel fixing and preparing reinforcement
\n - \n
Reading and working from basic plans and measurements
\n - \n
Preparing moulds and formwork for precast elements
\n - \n
Assisting with concrete pours, placement and finishing
\n - \n
Stripping, cleaning and preparing moulds for reuse
\n - \n
Moving and handling precast elements safely
\n - \n
Completing general yard and maintenance duties
\n - \n
Maintaining a safe, organised and clean work area
\n - \n
Working closely with the yard team to meet production requirements
\n
What We’re Looking For \n
- \n
- \n
Experience in welding, concreting, steel fixing or precast production
\n - \n
Welding experience suitable for reinforcement cages
\n - \n
Ability to read plans and work accurately from measurements
\n - \n
Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
\n - \n
A reliable attitude and strong work ethic
\n - \n
Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions
\n - \n
Physical fitness and confidence performing manual work
\n - \n
A strong commitment to workplace safety
\n - \n
Forklift ticket highly regarded
\n - \n
Dogman or rigging ticket highly regarded
\n - \n
Construction White Card essential
\n
