The Opportunity

Programmed Facility Management is seeking an experienced Regional Culinary Support professional to join our Culinary Services team.

This is a Perth-based regional role with regular travel to our operational sites, providing hands-on culinary expertise, coaching and support to teams across our village operations.

You will work alongside site leaders and culinary teams to ensure approved presentation standards, recipes, menus, build guides and service procedures are consistently understood and delivered.

This is an opportunity for an experienced catering professional who enjoys being close to operations and has the credibility to work alongside experienced culinary teams, identify opportunities for improvement and coach people towards a clear and consistent standard.

You may come from a senior chef or catering background, or have progressed into village management or broader operational leadership and are now looking to return to a role with a strong culinary focus.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Regional Culinary Support professional, you will provide practical support and expertise to culinary teams, helping them consistently deliver the standards expected across our operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Visiting operational sites to observe culinary preparation, service setup, buffet presentation, grab-and-go displays and back-of-house practices
• Coaching and supporting chefs and food service employees through practical demonstrations, feedback and onsite guidance
• Conducting culinary presentation and operational audits, identifying gaps and agreeing corrective actions with site leadership
• Following up audit findings to ensure agreed improvements are implemented and sustained
• Supporting teams to interpret and consistently apply approved presentation standards, build guides, recipes, menus and visual procedures
• Supporting the implementation of new menus, service concepts, products, equipment and operating standards
• Delivering practical training around presentation standards, buffet setup, grab-and-go displays, portion control, labelling and approved service procedures
• Identifying recurring operational gaps, risks and opportunities for improvement and sharing practical solutions across sites
• Supporting food safety, allergen management, portion control, labelling, temperature control and documentation requirements
• Developing and maintaining training resources, presentation guides, visit reports, action registers and follow-up records
• Supporting new-site mobilisations, menu changes and service improvements through onsite demonstrations, refresher training and follow-up
• Building strong working relationships with site managers, chefs, operational leaders, suppliers and support functions
• Sharing examples of strong practice and contributing to the ongoing development of culinary standards, guides, audit tools and training resources

About You

We're looking for someone who combines strong culinary or catering experience with the confidence and communication skills to coach others.

You will ideally have:

• Significant experience within catering, culinary, food service or a closely related operational environment
• Strong experience in bulk food service or high-volume catering
• Previous FIFO or remote-site experience, highly desirable
• A strong understanding of commercial food service operations across both kitchen and service environments
• A genuine eye for presentation, detail and service standards
• Experience coaching or training culinary teams and translating written standards into practical demonstrations
• Experience conducting operational audits, quality checks, site inspections or compliance reviews
• The ability to identify gaps, provide constructive feedback and work with teams to achieve sustainable improvements
• A practical understanding of food safety, allergen controls, safe food handling and operational hygiene
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build credibility with chefs, site leaders and operational teams
• Confidence working independently across different sites and operating environments
• Strong organisational skills, including planning travel, managing priorities and following actions through
• Confident digital skills, including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn business systems and reporting tools

We would particularly welcome applications from experienced Chefs, Catering Managers, Culinary Trainers or senior village operations professionals with a strong culinary background who are looking to apply their experience across a broader regional operation.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Relevant qualification in hospitality, commercial cookery or a related discipline is desirable; equivalent operational experience will also be considered
• Food Safety Supervisor qualification or recognised food safety training is desirable
• Current Australian Driver's Licence
• Ability to meet site access requirements, including medical and drug and alcohol screening, inductions and client-specific requirements
• Flexibility to travel regularly to operational sites, including overnight travel and occasional work outside standard office hours to support live service periods
