Environmental Advisor

• 8/6 roster with FIFO from Brisbane or DIDO from Townsville
• Lead waste management and environmental compliance activities
• Join an established underground mining operation

You will support all aspects of environmental management across an underground mining operation, with a strong focus on waste management, environmental compliance and site-based environmental activities. Working an 8/6 roster, you will help coordinate and deliver environmental requirements across the operation.

You will bring together environmental data, systems and activities to support effective Environmental Assurance System (EAS) requirements. This is a hands-on site-based opportunity where you will work closely with operational teams to maintain compliance and drive practical environmental outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate environmental activities across the underground mining operation
• Manage waste streams, including waste trench requirements and compliance
• Support Environmental Assurance System (EAS) requirements and reporting
• Monitor environmental compliance and identify areas for improvement
• Work with operational teams to implement environmental controls
• Maintain environmental records, documentation and reporting
• Support audits, inspections and environmental assurance activities

About you

• Proven background in environmental management within mining
• Strong understanding of waste management and environmental compliance
• Experience working in an underground mining environment
• Strong capability in environmental assurance and reporting systems
• Effective communicator who can work collaboratively with site teams
• Practical approach to identifying and managing environmental risks
