We are seeking an experienced and motivated Inventory Controller to join our team at our Crestmead facility in Queensland.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced logistics and supply chain professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, managing complex inventory movements and collaborating with internal teams, customers and external logistics partners.

As our Inventory Controller, you will play a key role in monitoring inventory, forecasting requirements and coordinating the movement of finished goods to customers. Working closely with the Planning Manager and Transport Coordinator, you will help ensure stock availability, effective stock rotation, minimal shrinkage and efficient inventory processes.

What does a typical day look like?
No two days will be the same. You’ll oversee inventory movements across central and local warehouses, monitor stock levels, support forecasting and planning, coordinate stock movements and work closely with our logistics partners to ensure customer requirements are met.

The role supports an inventory portfolio across two Snapfresh businesses and multiple warehouses within Australia.

In a nutshell, your main responsibilities are:

• Monitor incoming and outgoing goods to maintain visibility across the supply chain.
• Monitor real-time inventory levels across central and local warehouses using inventory management systems.
• Coordinate with the Transport Coordinator to manage stock movements between locations based on business requirements.
• Work closely with the Planning team to anticipate future supply requirements and ensure stock levels align with demand.
• Keep customers informed of inventory updates, schedule changes and critical supply information.
• Act as a key point of contact for external warehouse and logistics partners, ensuring agreed service standards are achieved.
• Oversee and coordinate regular stock counts, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and monitor supplier performance, including invoice validation.
• Work collaboratively with Finance to resolve inventory-related claims where required.
  Maintain accurate inventory records and supporting documentation.
• Prepare regular reports covering inventory levels, expiry dates, on-hold stock and inventory losses.
• Contribute to a safety-first workplace and comply with all Workplace Health and Safety requirements.
• What do you need to be successful in securing this role?
• Minimum 5 years’ experience within the logistics industry.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Business or a related discipline.
• Previous experience within FMCG or a similar fast-paced industry is highly desirable.
• Strong data modelling and analytical capabilities.
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
• Previous experience using 3PL/4PL management systems is highly desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively manage internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Willingness and ability to travel to warehouse locations across Australia when required.
