Student Engagement Coordinator

Classification: ANU Officer 6/7 (Administration)
Salary package: $100,847- $116,083 per annum plus 17% superannuation
Terms: 2x Full time, Fixed term (12 months)

The Position

Provide administrative, coordination and student engagement support to prospective and current ANU One students, and act as a key point of contact for student enquiries. Reporting to the Manager, Student Engagement and Operations, you will manage student enquiries, provide secretariat support to the ANU One Board of Studies, and support the administration and governance of ANU One.

You will monitor and maintain records relating to student engagement, attendance and academic progress, and help identify students who may require additional support. You will also coordinate and implement student engagement activities and initiatives that support student transition, success, retention and wellbeing, working collaboratively with colleagues across ANU One and the University.

The Person

You will hold a degree with subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training. Experience in a higher education or student services environment will be highly regarded. You will bring demonstrated experience delivering high-quality administrative, student support or customer service functions, including the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and maintain accuracy and attention to detail.

You will have demonstrated experience providing administrative and secretariat support, including the preparation of agendas, papers and minutes, the coordination of meetings, and maintaining accurate records using computer-based information and student management systems. Demonstrated ability to coordinate and implement activities that support student engagement, transition, success or wellbeing, with highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, is essential.

You will be able to interpret and apply policies and procedures, provide accurate advice, and work both independently and collaboratively, exercising initiative and judgement to manage your workload and respond to changing priorities.

Student Engagement and Education Management supports the delivery and effective administration of education and student-focused functions within the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education portfolio. The area works collaboratively across the University to support high-quality education, student engagement and administrative services.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education (DVCE) portfolio supports the University's education strategy, student experience and academic and professional services that enable the delivery of high-quality education.

ANU One is an integrated pathway portfolio supporting students through the successful completion of pathway programs and their transition to The Australian National University. It brings together pathway education and associated student and operational services, working across the University and with external partners to support student participation, success and progression to ANU.
