Job description

The Role

This position will be responsible for developing and implementing Foodservice business plans, achieving account profitability, sales targets and margin budgets, while acting as the primary account contact for End Users and Distributors across the NSW Foodservice market (Sydney based).

Duties

  • Manage existing clients across the NSW territory whilst identifying and developing new business opportunities.
  • Sell a range of foodservice product solutions to End Users, Distributors and Contractors, promoting product features and benefits to customers.
  • Build strategic, long-term relationships through a consultative sales approach, identifying customer needs and providing tailored solutions that add value to their business.
  • Maximise sales volume, profitability and market share through effective territory planning, forecasting and execution.
  • Take responsibility for the commercial management of key local and state-based accounts and buying groups.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information, ranging activity and NPD projects within the CRM platform (Insightly).
  • Develop, manage and grow existing major end-user accounts across NSW.
  • Maintain key stakeholder relationships within major accounts to ensure successful outcomes and long-term partnerships.
  • Provide regular market feedback on customer activity, competitor movements, industry trends and emerging business opportunities.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong account management and relationship-building capability
  • Experience within foodservice, FMCG or a related distribution environment
  • Sound understanding of supply chain operations and distributor networks
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Excellent presentation and communication abilities
  • Customer-focused and solutions-driven approach
  • Ability to identify growth opportunities and drive business outcomes
  • Strong market and industry awareness
  • Proficiency across Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems
  • Understanding of customer, channel and product dynamics
