About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and patient-focused Dental Assistant to join the Our Medical Dental team.

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting dentists and the wider team to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the clinic, while delivering a high standard of care and an outstanding patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support your assigned dentist, including proactive chairside assisting throughout the day
  • Take ownership of the clinical room, ensuring it is fully prepared, stocked, and ready for all procedures
  • Maintain the highest standards of infection prevention and control to ensure patient and team safety
  • Provide a supportive, professional, and caring experience for patients at every interaction
  • Assist with the efficient processing, sterilisation, and barcode tracking of instruments
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth daily operations across the clinic
  • Support reception duties including appointment bookings, enquiries, billing, recalls, and follow-up calls
  • Assist with stock management, external lab coordination, and in-house lab work

Helping to manage stock levels, coordinating external lab work and assisting with in-house lab work.

About You

You are a reliable, proactive, and team-oriented individual who takes pride in delivering excellent patient care and supporting your colleagues.

You will bring:

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients from all walks of life

  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality
  • Minimum 1+ years’ experience as a Dental Assistant
  • Up-to-date vaccinations and serology appropriate for the role
  • Certificate III in Dental Assisting (preferred)
  • Experience with Dental4Windows (advantageous)
