Bid Manager

Bennett + Bennett Corporate Services is currently seeking an experienced Bid Manager to join our Marketing & Communications team. This newly created Brisbane-based role will establish and lead our bid management function, supporting tendering and proposal activities across all regions while driving greater consistency, governance and quality across submissions.

Working closely with regional leaders, Project Managers and subject matter experts, you will take ownership of the proposal process from opportunity assessment through to submission for high-value and strategically significant opportunities. This role will coordinate contributors, manage submission programs, ensure compliance and quality standards are met, and help drive continuous improvement across our proposal capability.

This is an opportunity to build a centralised bid management capability from the ground up, creating lasting improvements in how opportunities are planned, coordinated and delivered across the business.

Your Role and Impact:

• Lead and coordinate the end-to-end proposal process for high-value and strategically significant opportunities.
• Manage the tender register, bid pipeline and submission calendar across the business.
• Facilitate bid planning, go/no go discussions, review milestones, approvals and submission requirements.
• Coordinate contributors across multiple regions and disciplines to ensure timely delivery of content and submissions.
• Draft, edit and refine executive summaries, value propositions, non-technical responses and other proposal content.
• Ensure compliance with tender requirements, submission formats, quality reviews and document control processes.
• Maintain proposal templates, case studies, CVs and the bid content library.
• Report on tender activity, win rates, pipeline performance and lessons learned to support continuous improvement.
• Coordinate client debriefs and win/loss reviews to strengthen future submissions.
• Drive the ongoing development of a scalable and best-practice bid management framework across the Group.

What You Bring:

• Demonstrated experience managing complex tenders and proposals from planning through to submission.
• Exceptional project management and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Strong written communication, editing and document production capabilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent tenders and proposals, coordinating diverse stakeholders to meet critical deadlines.
• High attention to detail with a focus on quality, compliance and process improvement.
• Ability to build strong working relationships with technical specialists, operational teams and senior leaders.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Experience in professional services, engineering, surveying, construction, infrastructure or related industries will be highly regarded.
