Medowie Christian School (MCS) is part of Christian Education Ministries (CEM), a protestant non-denominational, Christian Education organisation, whose mission is to develop each and every student to be equipped spiritually, academically, socially and physically to flourish and be a positive influence on the world around them. Applications are sought from suitably qualified and experienced educational leaders for the position of Head of Primary.

The Head of Primary is responsible for maintaining and developing the positive culture and community of the Primary school, ensuring students have access to high quality teaching and learning. The Head of Primary reports directly to the Principal.

About you

First and foremost, you will have a sincere and steadfast relationship with Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. You will be a spiritual and educational servant-leader who seeks the good of others.

More specifically, you will have:

• a vibrant Christian faith, evidenced by service in your local church;
• the ability to articulate your faith to others;
• a commitment to the transformative power of the Gospel in the lives of students and staff alike; and,
• experience in educational leadership

Qualifications:

• Evidence of the right to work in Australia
• Proof of identity
• Recognised teaching qualification
• Clearance status of the Working with Children Check
• Statements of service from previous child-connected roles
• References from previous child-connected roles
• You have suitable teaching qualifications and are registered with NESA
• Work within a school leadership and group executive leadership that has a clear Christian vision and a strong Christian culture.

Medowie Christian School is a healthy, thriving educational centre, delivering quality education for students from Kindergarten to Year 12.

Medowie Christian School (MCS) is a thriving co-educational independent school serving the Port Stephens community. MCS is on the journey to becoming an internationally recognised Christian College attracting students from around the globe and producing world changing leaders and influencers. MCS is set in 10 acres of beautiful bushland and is 30 minutes from Newcastle. The school is a ministry of Overflow Church, Medowie.

Commencing operations in 1995 with 41 students, two teachers and two demountables, the school has grown steadily with the introduction of the high school in 2005. With the commencement of Stage 6 from 2014, students have the opportunity to complete their K-12 education on the one campus.
