Scheduler and Planner

We're seeking an experienced Scheduler & Planner to join Fleetwood's Manufacturing team and play a critical role in planning, coordinating and optimising production across our Victorian modular building operations.
This role is responsible for developing and maintaining manufacturing schedules, capacity plans and resource forecasts that provide visibility across Fleetwood's Victorian manufacturing facilities. Working closely with Manufacturing, Procurement, Sales, Design, Construction and Project teams, you'll help ensure the business has the information and insight needed to effectively manage production capacity, labour requirements and future project demand.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain manufacturing schedules across Fleetwood's Victorian manufacturing operations.
• Create and maintain capacity plans that provide visibility of current workload, future demand and manufacturing resource requirements.
• Develop labour, resource and production forecasts to support operational and workforce planning.
• Maintain accurate production, procurement and scheduling data to support decision-making and business reporting.
• Conduct regular factory engagement, yard walks and stakeholder meetings to monitor production progress and update schedules.
• Produce yard maps and capacity forecasts to identify production constraints, overlap risks and optimisation opportunities.
• Create, update and maintain floor delivery, sequencing and production schedules aligned with project requirements.
• Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Procurement, Construction and Project teams to ensure schedules accurately reflect operational priorities and changing business needs.
• Establish baseline production metrics and benchmark project performance to identify efficiency improvements and opportunities to increase throughput.
• Support tendering activities by providing manufacturing planning and scheduling input for future projects.
• Monitor production performance against planned schedules and proactively communicate risks, delays and resource constraints.
• Develop forecasting models for labour requirements, yard utilisation, capacity planning and project delivery timelines.
• Provide planning insights that support decisions relating to staffing, procurement, manufacturing capacity and future project commitments.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of Fleetwood's planning, scheduling and reporting systems, processes and tools.
• Maintain accurate documentation, reporting and administrative records in line with business requirements.

About You

• Proven experience in a Planner, Scheduler, Production Planner, Manufacturing Planner or similar role.
• Strong experience in manufacturing planning, production scheduling, capacity planning and forecasting.
• Experience within modular construction, off-site manufacturing, building products, steel fabrication, construction manufacturing or similar environments will be highly regarded.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage complex production schedules involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with the ability to interpret data and provide meaningful business insights.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including forecasting, reporting and data analysis.
• Experience using ERP, manufacturing planning or scheduling systems will be highly regarded.
• Understanding of procurement, production workflows and manufacturing resource planning principles.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the business.
• Comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment and engaging directly with production teams to validate schedules and planning assumptions.
• Self-motivated, adaptable and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment undergoing change and continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of the modular construction, manufacturing or building industries will be highly regarded.
