The service operates in accordance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Quality Standard (NQS), Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and applicable education and care legislation and regulations. The centre provides play-based educational programs designed to support each child’s individual learning, development, wellbeing and participation. Its approach emphasises positive relationships with children and families, inclusive practice, child safety, professional collaboration and continuous improvement across all seven National Quality Standard quality areas.

About the Role: We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful applicant will be responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating high-quality early childhood education programs that support children's social, emotional, intellectual, physical and language development.

- Plan, develop, implement and evaluate play-based educational programs for children in accordance with the EYLF and approved learning frameworks, incorporating indoor and outdoor learning experiences that support literacy, numeracy, language, motor, social and emotional development. \n
- Observe, assess and document each child's learning, development, interests and progress, using observations and reflective practice to establish individual learning goals and adapt educational programs accordingly. \n
- Promote children's health, safety and wellbeing through effective supervision, child-safe practices, hygiene procedures, risk management and compliance with child protection, first aid, medication and incident-reporting requirements. \n
- Establish and maintain safe, inclusive, stimulating and well-resourced indoor and outdoor learning environments that encourage exploration, independence, creativity and play-based learning. \n
- Provide professional leadership, guidance and mentoring to educators, students and volunteers, supporting consistent teaching practices, teamwork, professional development and compliance with service policies and the National Quality Standard. \n
- Build respectful, responsive and nurturing relationships with children, supporting their individual needs, cultural backgrounds, abilities, confidence, behaviour and positive relationships with others. \n
- Communicate regularly with parents and families regarding children's learning, development, wellbeing and progress, and encourage family participation in educational programs and service activities. \n
- Collaborate with families, community organisations, allied professionals and other relevant services where appropriate to support children's inclusion, learning, development and wellbeing. \n
- Contribute to the service's Quality Improvement Plan, curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives, including critical reflection on educational practices and service outcomes. \n
- Maintain accurate educational, developmental and regulatory records and ensure practices comply with the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, National Quality Framework, NQS, service policies and relevant child-safe requirements. \n
- Participate in staff meetings, parent meetings and professional development activities, and supervise student teachers or educators on placement where required. \n
- Work collaboratively with the Director/Nominated Supervisor and Educational Leader to support the effective day-to-day operation of the assigned room and delivery of consistently high-quality early childhood education and care. \n

Qualifications and Work Experience Required:

- \n
- A bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Early Childhood Education/Teaching, or another qualification recognised by ACECQA as an approved Early Childhood Teacher qualification. \n
- At least 1-2 years of relevant work experience in an Early Childhood Teacher or comparable early childhood education role. \n
- Current Working with Children Check and relevant teacher accreditation/registration where required. \n
- Current approved First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management qualifications, or ability to maintain the required certifications. \n
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Framework and National Quality Standard. \n
- Sound knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, child protection obligations and child-safe practices. \n
- Demonstrated ability to plan, implement, document and evaluate developmentally appropriate early childhood educational programs. \n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop effective relationships with children, families, educators and other stakeholders. \n
- Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, guidance and mentoring to educators within an early childhood education setting. \n
