Newcastle Private Hospital is seeking an experienced and passionate Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to join our Rehabilitation Ward.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Registered Nurse who is committed to delivering exceptional patient care, promoting clinical excellence, and supporting the growth and development of colleagues within a collaborative and supportive team environment.

About the Role

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will provide advanced clinical care and leadership within our Rehab Ward. The CNS supports staff development through bedside teaching, coaching, and role modelling. Working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager and multidisciplinary teams, you will play a key role in promoting best practice, mentoring nursing staff, and contributing to positive patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centred care
  
• Providing clinical leadership and support to nursing teams
  
• Acting as a resource and mentor for junior staff
  
• Supporting quality improvement and accreditation activities
  
• Promoting evidence-based practice and continuous learning
  
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes
  
• Vast experience in Rehab or Med Surgical Nursing
  
• Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  
• Authority to Work in Australia
  
• Valid NSW Working with Children check
  
• Demonstrated clinical expertise in intensive care nursing
  
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  
• Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and service excellence
  
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary environment

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF - NSW Nurses and Midwives' - Enterprise Agreement, a salary ranging from $58.83 - $65.27 per hour.
