About the role
We’re looking for a friendly, organised, and experienced GP Medical Receptionist to join our Myhealth Bayside team as a Second-in-Charge. This role is on a part-time basis working 30 hours a week across 5 days. As the Medical Receptionist (2IC), you’ll be the friendly face welcoming patients at the front desk, keeping things running smoothly, and supporting our Practice Manager behind the scenes. It’s a great mix of reception duties and a little bit of “right-hand” magic to help the practice tick along nicely. Day in the Life:

• Assisting Practice Manager (or lead doctors) with operational excellence
• Day-to-day reception duties
• Overseeing and maintaining diary scheduling in collaboration with the Clinical Team (including waitlist management, booking in new clients and rescheduling appointments)
• Overseeing appointments and bookings
• Managing waitlist management, booking in new clients and rescheduling appointment
• Assisting with patient and doctor queries
• Utilising appropriate item numbers for appointments

What we're looking for:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of reception experience in general practice/healthcare settings.
• Best Practice experience preferred
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Medicare, DVA, Work Cover, HICAPS, and Private Health Insurance billings preferred
• Strong multitasking abilities and effective prioritisation of workflow
• A positive, can-do attitude and a drive to make a meaningful impact on our patients and practice
