What we are looking for :

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our Production Team in Scoresby. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with CNC machining experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in producing high-quality work.

While experience operating CNC machinery in a timber or cabinet making environment is highly regarded, we welcome applications from candidates with CNC experience from other manufacturing industries who are eager to learn.

About the role:

Reporting to the Leading Hand, you will be responsible for operating and supporting our CNC machinery to manufacture furniture components to specification, quality and production requirements. Key responsibilities include:

• Operate CNC routers and flatbed machinery safely and efficiently
• Read and interpret drawings, specifications and work instructions
• Process jobs accurately through production software systems
• Monitor machine performance and identify quality issues
• Assist with CNC programming and fixture development
• Maintain CNC program databases
• Complete production records and documentation accurately
• Maintain stock and material information as required
• Work collaboratively with production teams to resolve manufacturing issues
• Follow safe work practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a safe and serviceable condition

About you:

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a team that values quality and continuous improvement. You will bring:

• Experience operating CNC machinery within a manufacturing environment
• Timber, joinery, cabinet making or furniture manufacturing experience is advantageous but not essential
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
• Good computer literacy and experience working with production systems
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
• Commitment to workplace health and safety
• Reliable, proactive and eager to learn
