Job description
  • Two opportunities available: one full-time perm position, one full-time 12-month parental leave contract
  • Based in Adelaide CBD reporting to the Manager, HR Advisory
  • Provide trusted HR advice and coaching across a diverse workforce

The Role

The Senior HR Advisor exists to provide sound advice, helping managers and employees navigate people issues and People & Capability policies and processes with confidence. You'll manage escalated and complex HR and ER case and operational matters, applying sound judgement to evaluate information and support well-documented outcomes, while identifying opportunities to improve HR processes, systems and documentation.

Beyond day to day advice, you'll play a key coaching function - supporting and building the capability of people leaders to effectively execute P&C initiatives such as performance reviews, remuneration and salary review processes, and workforce planning, ensuring consistent, timely and high-quality outcomes across the business. You'll also partner with P&C specialists and broader stakeholders to maintain consistent systems and processes, helping RAA deliver a consistent, high-quality HR service.

We currently have two opportunities available within our HR Advisory Team: a newly created full-time permanent position, and a full-time 12-month contract covering parental leave. Both roles offer the same variety, autonomy and opportunity to make a genuine impact across the business.

About You

You're a confident HR generalist who thrives on solving problems and building trusted relationships with people leaders across a diverse business. You bring sound judgement, discretion and a genuine interest in coaching others to get the best outcomes for their teams.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Three to five years' experience in an HR Advisory or similar role, including case management, coaching leaders and providing advice on HR and employee relations matters
  • Experience partnering with stakeholders across a diverse workforce
  • Sound working knowledge of employment legislation, industrial instruments and organisational policies and procedures
  • Sound understanding of HR operations, systems and documentation and their practical application
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with a high level of discretion, diplomacy and confidentiality
  • tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience, and relevant professional membership (e.g. AHRI) are desirable, as is exposure to HRIS and case management systems
