Casual Yard Operator – General Building Materials

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Casual Yard Operator to join our team. This is a hands-on role working with a range of general building materials, with ongoing casual work available for the right candidate.

The role will involve keeping the yard organized, loading and unloading building materials, assisting customers and drivers, and operating machinery as required.

Key responsibilities:

• Loading and unloading trucks and deliveries


• Moving and organizing general building materials around the yard


• Operating forklifts and other yard equipment where required


• Preparing materials and orders for customers


• Keeping the yard clean, tidy and safe


• Assisting with stock movement and general yard duties


• Following all workplace health and safety procedures


• Working as part of a small, friendly team

About you:

• Reliable, punctual and hard-working


• Comfortable working outdoors and performing physical tasks


• Previous yard, warehouse, construction or building materials experience is an advantage


• Forklift license is desirable


• Good attention to detail and a strong focus on safety


• Able to work independently and as part of a team


• Positive attitude and willing to get stuck in
