About The Clinic \n
An established specialist medical practice in Sydney CBD is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist / Administration Assistant for an immediate-start maternity leave position.
\n
This is a casual role working 3-4 days per week, ideally Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, providing consistent cover while a team member is on maternity leave.
\n
Conveniently located in the Sydney CBD with excellent access to train, light rail/tram and bus services, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced medical receptionist looking for regular hours within a professional specialist practice.
The Role \n
You will work closely with and report to the Senior Medical Administrator, supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice.
Your responsibilities will include: \n
- \n
- Welcoming patients and managing front-of-house reception \n
- Answering telephone and patient enquiries professionally \n
- Booking, confirming and rescheduling patient appointments \n
- Managing patient information and clinical administration \n
- Processing Medicare claims and assisting with billing \n
- Liaising with doctors, hospitals, patients and external health careproviders \n
- Maintaining accurate patient records \n
- Using Genie practice management software \n
- Providing general administrative support to the Senior Medical Administrator and clinical team \n
About You \n
To be successful, you will ideally have:
\n
- \n
- Previous medical reception or specialist medical administration experience \n
- Experience using Genie software is highly desirable \n
- Good understanding of medical appointments, Medicare and patient administration \n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills \n
- A warm, professional and patient-focused manner \n
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills \n
- Confidence working within a busy specialist medical environment \n
- The ability to work collaboratively with a Senior Medical Administrator and medical specialists \n
