Work from home + Flexible Work
We're not looking for a practitioner who simply ticks the boxes.
We're looking for someone with a deep passion for this work.
Someone who genuinely cares about people.
Someone who believes navigating complex challenges requires a connected team.
Someone who wants to do truly meaningful work.
If you've spent time in this sector, you'll know that good organisations are rare.
We're trying very hard to be one of them.
Support Studio is building a workplace where people feel supported, trusted, and able to do their best work.
About Support Studio
Support Studio provides high-quality support services to people living with mental health and disability.
But what really defines us is how we work together.
We believe:
Great participant outcomes come from well-supported staff
Connected teams are the backbone of every good organisation
Supervision, reflective practice and staff wellbeing are essential
Work can be serious and meaningful while still being human and enjoyable
We're building an organisation where people stay because the work matters and the culture is fun.
The Role
This is a person-centred Behaviour Support role
As a Proficient or Advanced Practitioner, you will provide specialist Behaviour Support interventions to people living with disability - helping to improve their quality of life and promote their rights. You will maintain a specialist caseload of participants with complex intersecting needs, while also driving clinical excellence and a supportive culture.
You won't just be providing Behaviour Support.
You'll be working alongside people with a disability to ensure their voices, rights, and goals are at the centre of everything we do.
Our Behaviour Support Practitioners spend time:
- Supporting participants to live their best lives
- Solving real problems
- Helping participants and their support networks navigate complex situations
- Building strong, respectful working relationships
You’ll work closely with other Behaviour Support Practitioners, our Lead Behaviour Support Practitioners, and other teams across Support Studio.
What you'll be responsible for
Managing a specialist caseload of participants with complex, intersecting needs
Conducting functional behavior assessments and designing evidence-based, person-centered plans aimed at improving quality of life
Delivering training to families and support networks to safely implement behaviour strategies and build participant skills
Providing informal mentorship to other practitioners and actively engaging in clinical supervision and reflective practice
Contributing to a strong team culture where people feel supported and valued
Ensuring services remain aligned with NDIS requirements and best practice
Working collaboratively across the organisation to strengthen systems and service delivery
Building strong relationships with participants, families and sector partners
What we're looking for
You don't have to be perfect. But you do need to care deeply about the people we support.
We're looking for someone who has:
Extensive experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
A practitioner who has met Core, Proficient or Advanced Practitioner level capabilities - for the right candidate who has not yet met suitability, we are open to supporting you through the entry-level pathway.
Strong people skills and the ability to build relationships with people from diverse backgrounds
A solid understanding of the NDIS and service delivery frameworks
Confidence navigating operational challenges and incidents
Excellent communication and relationship skills
A calm, thoughtful approach to their work
The ability to build trust with both staff and participants
The kind of practitioner who thrives here
This role suits someone who believes in this sector.
Someone who knows the work is complex and sometimes exhausting — but believes it matters.
Someone who wants to make a difference in the lives of people with a disability, not just tick the boxes.
If you're the kind of practitioner who believes that putting people at the centre of their support is the foundation of great work, you'll likely feel at home here.
