Excavator & Moxy Operators - Gladstone

  • Location: Gladstone & Central QLD

  • Pay Rate: $55.00 – $62.00/hr + Penalties & Allowances

About the Role

Minecon Recruitment has partnered with an industry-leading civil contractor to support a major site-strip project in the Gladstone region.

Kicking off on Tuesday, 6th October 2026, we are seeking trade-tested, safety-focused 45T Excavator (GPS) Operators and CAT 740 Moxy Operators for long-term project work.

Positions & Pay Rates

  • 45T Excavator Operator (GPS): $62.00/hr

  • Moxy Operator (CAT 740): $55.00/hr

Key Responsibilities

  • Safe and efficient operation of 45T Excavators (GPS-guided) or CAT 740 Articulated Dump Trucks on a high-production site-strip project.

  • Carrying out detailed earthworks, bulk excavation, trenching, or material transport depending on your machinery stream.

  • Conducting daily pre-start equipment checks and reporting any maintenance faults.

  • Working closely with ground crews and site supervisors to maintain productivity and safety standards.

Key Requirements

  • Experience: Proven track record operating 45T Excavators or Articulated Dump Trucks (Moxies) within civil construction or bulk earthworks.

  • Tickets: Relevant RII Competencies / VOCs for Excavator or Articulated Dump Truck.

  • Safety & Compliance: Valid White Card (General Construction Induction).

  • Licence: Current Driver’s Licence with reliable personal transport.

  • Work Rights: Full Australian Working Rights.

  • Medical: Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening.
