As Head Chef at The Star Hotel in Sale, you will take ownership of the day-to-day kitchen operation, working alongside a professional and committed team. With more than 1,000 covers each week, this is an exciting opportunity for a chef who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys leading a professional team while delivering consistently high-quality food and service. Key responsibilities \n

• Leading, mentoring and developing the kitchen team
\n
• Maintaining consistently high food quality, presentation and service standards
\n
• Menu planning, development and seasonal updates
\n
• Food costing, GP management and portion control
\n
• Ordering and stock management
\n
• Maintaining food safety, hygiene and workplace safety standards
\n
• Rostering and managing kitchen labour
\n
• Working closely with management to achieve operational and financial targets
\n
• Creating a positive, professional and accountable kitchen culture
\n

About you \n

\n
• Previous experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef or senior kitchen leader
\n
• Strong leadership and communication skills
\n
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
\n
• A strong understanding of food costs, labour costs and kitchen budgets
\n
• A genuine passion for producing quality food
\n
• The ability to remain calm and organised under pressure
\n
• A strong understanding of food safety and compliance
\n
• A hands-on approach and willingness to lead from the front
\n
• The ability to motivate and develop a professional kitchen team
\n
• $105,000 + Superannuation
\n
• Up to $10,000 in initial bonuses
\n
• Percentage-based performance bonuses with no cap
\n
