ABOUT US
Doogood Australia is a family-owned business and a leader in the Australian fencing industry. We make and supply chain mesh, fencing panels and posts to trade customers across the country. Our business is growing, and we need a reliable heavy vehicle driver to get our products to customers on time and in good condition.
THE ROLE
You'll deliver fencing products from our Doveton depot to customers' factories and business premises across regional Victoria, with regular interstate runs to Adelaide and occasional trips to Sydney. The work includes:
Driving a prime mover with tautliner and drop-deck semi-trailers
Safely loading, restraining and unloading chain mesh rolls, fencing panels, posts and accessories
Delivering to customers' factories, warehouses and yards
Pre-start checks, keeping your work diary, and finishing delivery paperwork
Dealing professionally with customers and their staff
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
A current HC licence with a clean driving record. An MC licence is an advantage, but not essential for the right applicant
At least [2+] years' experience driving heavy combination vehicles, ideally on regional and interstate routes
Experience with tautliners and drop decks, including curtain and load restraint, especially for mesh rolls, long posts and heavy loads
An understanding of NHVR fatigue rules and the National Driver Work Diary (BFM accreditation is a bonus)
A forklift licence (LF), or willingness to get one, is a plus
Fitness for manual handling, and willingness to do overnight or multi-day trips
Good communication and time management, and a strong focus on safety
