Senior Legal Counsel - Capital Markets & M&A
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Capital Markets & Corporate M&A lawyer to join the high-performing in-house legal team of a rapidly growing technology infrastructure company operating at the forefront of artificial intelligence.

The Team
Reporting to the General Counsel and working closely with executive leadership, Finance and Corporate Development, you will partner with senior stakeholders across the business and work alongside leading external advisers and legal counsel on complex financing and corporate transactions.
The Opportunity
This is a broad, strategic legal role supporting debt and equity financing, capital raising, corporate M&A and strategic investment activities.
You will lead legal support for significant financing and corporate development matters, advising on complex transactions from structuring and negotiation through to execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead legal support across debt financing, lending arrangements and other strategic funding initiatives.
- Advise on equity capital raisings, investment transactions and associated corporate matters.
- Support corporate development initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions.
- Structure and negotiate joint ventures, strategic partnerships and investment arrangements.
- Advise on corporate structuring and transaction execution across a range of complex matters.
- Manage relationships with financial advisers, investors, lenders and external legal counsel throughout transaction lifecycles.
- Provide strategic legal advice to executive leadership and senior stakeholders on financing, investment and corporate development initiatives.
- Develop and maintain legal templates, policies and frameworks to support the continued growth of the business.
Ideal Candidate
- 8-10+ years' post-qualification experience gained within a leading national or international law firm and/or a sophisticated in-house legal team.
- Significant experience across debt finance and/or equity capital markets. Exposure to mergers and acquisitions, corporate transactions, joint ventures and/or strategic partnerships experience would be an added bonus.
- Experience supporting capital raising activities, infrastructure investment, private equity or corporate development programs will be highly regarded.
- Exposure to cross-border transactions and complex multi-party arrangements will be advantageous.
- Excellent commercial judgement with the ability to provide pragmatic, solutions-focused advice to senior executives and business stakeholders.
