Job description

Business Analyst - 3 Month Contract

We are currently seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support our client for a 3-month contract on Wave 1 of a Regulatory Assessment Transformation Program, assisting in establishing an AI-assisted regulatory assessment capability.

About the Role

The Business Analyst will work with business and project stakeholders to define business problems, understand current and future-state processes, elicit and document requirements, assess options and support delivery outcomes.

Key activities will include:

  • Documenting business requirements and assessment criteria in a controlled Requirements Register.
  • Analysing and mapping the BMP assessment process, including evidence requirements, decision points and governance controls.
  • Working with assessors, Legal, leadership and other stakeholders to support engagement and prototype design.
  • Supporting testing and validation activities.
  • Developing the assessment guide and approved Copilot prompt library.
  • Supporting scope clarification, risks, dependencies, decisions and delivery activities.
  • Developing and maintaining BA artefacts including requirements, process maps, user stories, acceptance criteria and decision records.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience working as a Business Analyst across projects.
  • Strong experience in requirements elicitation, process analysis, process mapping and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience developing clear and fit-for-purpose business analysis documentation.
  • Strong ability to work with Project Managers, business owners, SMEs, technology teams, vendors and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and stakeholder influencing skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and operate effectively in an ambiguous and evolving environment.
  • Experience supporting project planning, risks, dependencies and delivery outcomes.
  • A degree in Business, IT, Business Analysis, Project Management or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience.

Desirable

Experience working within a government, regulatory or public sector environment, as well as Business Analysis certification or training such as IIBA, CBAP, Agile Business Analysis or BABOK-aligned training.
