Job description

National Workforce is partnering with a leading Australian food manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join their maintenance team at their Revesby site. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on electrician looking to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to a broad range of electrical, mechanical and automation systems.

About the Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment across a busy production facility. The role requires a proactive person who enjoys problem-solving and is comfortable supporting all aspects of site maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment.
  • Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults on production machinery.
  • Conduct preventative and breakdown maintenance activities.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
  • Troubleshoot PLCs, instrumentation, variable speed drives (VSDs) and control systems.
  • Maintain pumps, motors, sensors, solenoids and process equipment.
  • Complete maintenance work orders and associated documentation.
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and complies with relevant regulations and site procedures.
  • Liaise with production, quality, contractors and internal stakeholders to minimise downtime.

About You

To be successful in this position, you will possess:

  • Current NSW Electrical Licence (essential).
  • Previous maintenance experience within manufacturing, FMCG, food production, pharmaceutical or similar industrial environments.
  • Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Experience working with PLCs, instrumentation and automated production equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance practices.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety.
  • Flexible approach to maintenance activities and team support.

Highly Regarded

  • Food manufacturing or pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Exposure to packaging machinery and automated production lines.
  • Experience working across both electrical and mechanical maintenance disciplines.
