Clinical Trials Assistant (CTA)

Datapharm Australia is seeking a motivated and highly organised Clinical Trials Assistant (CTA) to join our clinical research team in Sydney. This is an opportunity for an early-career clinical research professional to develop experience across the coordination, administration and documentation of clinical trials. Working closely with clinical research, data management, statistical and project teams, you will support the successful delivery of clinical research projects in accordance with applicable protocols, regulatory requirements and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

Provide administrative and operational support to clinical trial project teams.

Assist with the preparation, maintenance and filing of essential trial documentation.

Support the set-up, conduct and close-out activities of clinical studies.

Maintain accurate trial trackers, databases and project records.

Assist with study documentation, reports, correspondence and meeting materials.

Coordinate and track study-related activities, deadlines and deliverables.

Assist with data collection, review and reconciliation activities where required.

Support communication between internal project teams, investigators, sites, sponsors and other stakeholders.

Assist with quality-control checks to ensure documentation and data are complete and accurate.

Contribute to the preparation of study reports, presentations and other project outputs.

About you

A tertiary qualification in health science, life science, pharmacy, statistics, biostatistics, public health or a related discipline.

An interest in clinical trials and clinical research.

Strong organisational and time-management skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Confidence working with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information appropriately.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

A willingness to learn clinical research processes, systems and regulatory requirements.
