Data Warehouse Developer, Centre for Vic Data Linkage

Department of Health Victoria – Melbourne VIC

The Data Warehouse Developer is located within the Centre for Victorian Data Linkage, Victoria's specialist data linkage agency. CVDL acquires, integrates and links administrative and clinical datasets for policy development and research purposes.

The role designs, develops, automates and supports data integration, data warehouse and analytical data processing solutions across Microsoft SQL Server, Azure and Databricks platforms. This includes the technical design, development, implementation, monitoring and maintenance of complex ETL and data transformation processes, onboarding new datasets, developing derived and value-added data assets, and improving the operational resilience of data processing frameworks.

About you:

  • A tertiary qualification in Information Technology would be desirable.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL, including developing queries, stored procedures, views and indexes.
  • Experience developing, maintaining or supporting data extraction, transformation and loading processes.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure data products, such as Azure SQL and Azure Data Factory.
  • Ability to prepare clear technical documentation, including data models, data dictionaries, technical specifications and operational procedures.
