Senior Project Officer, Neuropsychiatric Institute - ESMHS

The SESLHD Mental Health Service is a specialised clinical service, providing care to a local population of over 930,000 residents in the Sydney metropolitan area. We provide care within both hospital and community settings to support people living with mental illness at times when acute intervention is needed, or to remain well in their community and lead their own recovery.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a tertiary clinical academic unit (The Neuropsychiatric Institute, Eastern Suburbs Mental Health Service, Prince of Wales Hospital) as a Senior Project Officer.

The role will coordinate and lead key strategic initiatives and projects within the NPI working in close partnership with the Clinical Director.

Where you'll be working

The Senior Project Officer will be based on campus at the ESMHS located on the Prince of Wales Hospital.

Selection Criteria:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Health-related area, Change or Project Management or relevant equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills to enhance staff performance, influence workplace culture, and lead change
  • Extensive knowledge of contemporary issues in project delivery, including planning, coordination reporting, and risk management.
  • Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills with a strong customer service approach
  • Demonstrated high level analytical and problem solving skills including the ability to provide authoritative advice and recommendations across a large and complex organisation
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior management, and other key stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and evaluation at strategic and service levels within a high volume dynamic work environment
  • Current drivers licence (with a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position)
