Communications ManagerSalary: $166,939 - $191,084 (plus Superannuation)Fixed-term until 19 November 2027Usual hours of work: Full-time (flexibility may be available)Usual work location: 535 Bourke Street, Melbourne VIC 3000The RoleThe Communications Manager reports to the Director Strategy and Research leading a small team within the Strategy and Research Division in the delivery of communication solutions, staff engagement and reputation management to support delivery of the Authority's statutory responsibilities and the Authority's objectives for sustainable and responsible game hunting.The TeamThe position of Communications Manager forms a part of the Strategy and Research Division within the Game Management Authority. The Game Management Authority (GMA) delivers programs to improve and promote sustainable and responsible game hunting in Victoria. The GMA has three functional Divisions including Strategy and Research, Stakeholder and Hunting Programs and Compliance and Intelligence.About YouThe successful candidate will ideally have the following main skills and experience:Demonstrated strategic communications leadership with extensive experience providing authoritative advice to senior executives, Boards and government stakeholders on strategic communications, media relations, stakeholder engagement and political sensitive issues.Proven experience leading a communications function including developing and implementing integrated communications, stakeholder and community engagement strategies that support organisational major projects and government priorities.Demonstrated leadership and people management capability, including leading multidisciplinary teams, managing budgets, procurement, reporting and performance, fostering a positive organisational culture in communications practices and service delivery.Sound understanding of Victorian Government governance, decision-making and communications processes, including experience working within government protocols, and managing communications associated with public sector service delivery.Further InformationFor a confidential discussion, please contact Lauren Clay via email department is committed to creating and maintaining a child safe organisation.
