Obstetrics & Gynaecology Consultant
We are seeking a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to join a leading regional health service in Victoria.
This is an excellent opportunity for an O&G Specialist seeking a broad scope of clinical practice while enjoying the support, infrastructure and professional opportunities of a major regional referral centre.
You will provide high-quality specialist care across obstetrics and gynaecology, while contributing to the supervision and education of junior medical staff, multidisciplinary collaboration, clinical governance and ongoing service development.
The department provides exposure to a broad and interesting range of obstetric and gynaecological presentations, making this an attractive opportunity for a generalist Obstetrician & Gynaecologist who values clinical variety, teaching and a collegiate working environment.

The Facility:
You will join a major regional referral health service providing specialist care to patients from across a large area of Central and Northern Victoria.
The health service supports an extensive regional catchment and provides a comprehensive range of acute, specialist and community-based services.
The Obstetrics & Gynaecology department offers a broad scope of practice, with exposure across areas including:
- General obstetrics and high-risk obstetric care
- General gynaecology
- Advanced laparoscopic surgery
- Colposcopy
- Urogynaecology
- Gynaecological oncology exposure
- Outpatient and procedural services
You will work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team and have opportunities to participate in:
- Teaching and supervision of junior doctors and trainees
- Clinical leadership and service development
- Quality improvement and clinical governance
- Undergraduate and postgraduate medical education
- Mentoring and professional development
The broader health service provides extensive specialist services including emergency medicine, intensive care, general medicine, surgery, paediatrics, mental health, cardiology, oncology, renal services, rehabilitation, medical imaging and allied health.
Requirements:
Applicants should hold:
- FRANZCOG and Specialist Registration with AHPRA; or
- UK CCT/CCST in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and be eligible for specialist assessment/registration in Australia; or
- Overseas specialist qualifications assessed by RANZCOG as Substantially Comparable; or
- Eligibility for an appropriate Australian specialist pathway
You will also demonstrate:
- Experience working as an Obstetrician & Gynaecologist / Consultant / Staff Specialist
- Commitment to safe, high-quality patient-centred care
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to teaching, supervision and clinical leadership
