The role
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll work alongside the Store Manager to help set the pace on the showroom floor.
You'll lead by example — selling, coaching and supporting the team while helping drive showroom performance. You'll develop your leadership skills across team performance, customer experience and showroom operations, and step up to lead the showroom when the Store Manager isn't there.
It's an ideal next move for someone who wants to progress from sales into leadership or build on their existing leadership experience with a pathway towards Store Management. LU - Retail - Retail Team Leader
What you'll do
Lead from the floor and consistently achieve your own sales targets
Help drive showroom revenue, conversion and average order value
Coach, motivate and support the sales team
Keep quotes and customer opportunities moving through proactive follow-up
Support new team members through onboarding and buddy shifts
Be a first point of support for customer queries and escalations
Maintain exceptional showroom and visual merchandising standards
Support the Store Manager with day-to-day showroom operations
Step up and confidently lead the showroom when the Store Manager is away LU - Retail - Retail Team Leader
Who you are
Here's what tends to make someone thrive here:
A proven retail salesperson with strong results and the ambition to move into leadership, or previous experience as a Team Leader, 2IC or Assistant Manager
Confident, warm and genuine with customers
A natural ability to support, motivate and bring out the best in others
Comfortable carrying your own sales targets while thinking about the performance of the wider team
Commercially minded and motivated by strong results
Proactive, organised and reliable
Experience in furniture, homewares, big-ticket or premium retail is highly regarded
