About the Opportunity

Coastwide Child & Family Services is seeking an experienced and passionate Family Day Care Coordinator to join our team on a part-time basis.

Based at our West Gosford head office, you will work closely with our network of Family Day Care Educators, providing ongoing support, mentoring and guidance to promote high-quality education and care for children and families.

This is an opportunity for an Early Childhood professional who enjoys building strong relationships, supporting educator development and contributing to quality and continuous improvement.

About the Role

As a Family Day Care Coordinator, you will provide professional support and guidance to educators while monitoring quality and compliance across the service.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing ongoing support, mentoring and guidance to Family Day Care Educators
  • Conducting monthly educator visits within home-based education and care environments
  • Supporting educators with programming, documentation and reflective practice
  • Monitoring compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, National Quality Standard and Coastwide policies and procedures
  • Supporting educators with risk assessments, supervision, health and safety requirements
  • Assisting with educator recruitment, induction and ongoing professional development
  • Reviewing documentation and maintaining accurate service records
  • Supporting continuous improvement and contributing to the service's Quality Improvement Plan
  • Building positive and professional relationships with educators, children and families
  • Working collaboratively with the broader Coastwide team

About You

We are looking for someone who is approachable, organised and supportive, with the confidence to build strong professional relationships while maintaining clear expectations around quality and compliance.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Minimum Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Previous experience within Family Day Care and/or the broader Early Childhood Education and Care sector
  • Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework and National Quality Standard
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to mentor and support educators in strengthening their professional practice
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team
  • A current Working with Children Check
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications, or willingness to obtain
  • A current driver's licence
