Position – System AdministratorLocation - GP Care Eaglehawk, Bendigo VIC 3550.Salary - $85000- $100,000About the roleReporting to the Director , you will be responsible for the design, security, maintenance and performance of our IT systems, including clinical and practice management software, patient data systems, servers, workstations and communications infrastructure across our clinics.Key responsibilitiesDesign and maintain database architecture, data structures, tables, dictionaries and naming conventions to ensure the accuracy and completeness of all data master files, including patient and practice management recordsEstablish and carry out preventive maintenance of backups and recovery procedures, and enforce security and integrity controls over sensitive health informationImplement and administer database documentation, guidelines, policies and proceduresTest database systems and upgrades, including debugging, tracking, reproducing, logging and resolving all identified problems in line with approved quality testing scripts, procedures and processesTake responsibility for the processes, procedures and operational management of system security and disaster recovery planning, so that clinical services can continue during outagesLiaise with security vendors, suppliers, service providers and external resources; analyse, recommend, install and maintain software security applications; and monitor contractual obligations, performance delivery and service level agreementsTroubleshoot and provide service support in diagnosing, resolving and repairing server-related hardware and software faults, including workstations and communications infrastructurePrepare and maintain documentation, policies and instructions, and record operational procedures and system logsEnsure the design of computer sites allows all components to fit together and work properly, and monitor and adjust network performanceRegularly review the current computer site to identify future network needs and recommend enhancements for future servers and networksAbout youEssential:Bachelor degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field, or at least five years of relevant experience in place of formal qualificationsDemonstrated experience administering databases, servers and networks in a production environmentSound knowledge of backup, recovery and disaster recovery planningExperience with Windows Server, Active Directory / Microsoft 365, and SQL-based databasesExperience in network configuration, firewalls, endpoint security and performance monitoringStrong documentation skills and the ability to write clear policies and proceduresExperience managing vendors and service level agreementsClear communication with non-technical staff, including clinicians and reception teamsWhat we offerCompetitive salary plus superannuationOngoing, stable role in a growing healthcare organisationProfessional development supportHow to applySend your resume and a cover letter addressing the requirements above to Applicants must have the right to work in Australia.
