Job description

We are seeking an experienced Elevator Technician to join our team at BOSS Elevators.

This is a diverse, hands-on role with the opportunity to work across service and maintenance, modernisation, upgrades and new installations. Experience across service, modernisation and installation would be highly regarded; however, we are open to candidates with strong experience in either area.

The role can be tailored to suit your experience, strengths and interests, while providing the opportunity to broaden your skills across other areas of elevator work. From routine servicing and complex fault finding through to major upgrades, modernisations and new installations, the position offers genuine variety.

Working across the Sunshine Coast to Discovery Coast region, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety, reliability and performance of a wide range of elevator systems while contributing to modernisation and installation projects.

You will work both independently and alongside our experienced team, liaising directly with clients and delivering practical, high-quality solutions.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, enjoys solving technical problems and wants a role that provides variety, responsibility and exposure across all aspects of elevator works.

At BOSS Elevators, we are committed to “Leading the Change” and providing our technicians with the opportunity to continue developing their skills and experience.

  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with applicable standards, regulations and company procedures.
  • Client Liaison: Communicate directly with clients, understand their requirements and provide professional, practical solutions.
  • On-Call Support: Mandatory participation in our rotational on-call roster, responding to after-hours breakdowns and emergency call-outs as required.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, testing and project works.
  • Ongoing Development: Participate in technical training and development to continue building your skills and industry knowledge.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years' experience within the elevator industry.
  • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Experience across service, modernisation and installation would be highly regarded. We are open to candidates with strong experience in either area.
  • Queensland Electrical Licence – unrestricted.
  • White Card.
  • Willingness and availability to participate in the mandatory rotational on-call roster.
  • A positive, proactive attitude with a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and client service skills.
  • Working at Heights certification – favourable but not essential.
  • Rigging and Dogging certification – favourable but not essential.
  • Certificate IV in WHS – favourable but not essential.
  • Must have the right to work in Australia. Please note that sponsorship opportunities are not available.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Remuneration: Get paid your worth, based on your experience, skills and qualifications.
  • Variety: Work across service, fault finding, repairs, modernisations, upgrades and new installations.
  • Coastal Lifestyle: Skip the major-city commute and work across one of Australia’s most sought-after coastal regions.
  • Career Development: Broaden your technical experience across different elevator systems, equipment and project works.
  • Experienced Team: Work alongside a skilled team with strong technical knowledge and industry experience.
  • Independence & Responsibility: We value technicians who can think for themselves, solve problems and take ownership of their work.
