The Role and Key Responsibilities We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals for the Full-Time role of Aged or Disabled Carer. This position provides routine personal care services and direct support to clients in their homes.
Your duties, which are exactly as per the job description and align with ANZSCO 423111, will include:
- Providing dedicated emotional support, companionship, and friendship.
- Accompanying aged and disabled persons during daily activities
- Assisting clients with their mobility
- Preparing food for clients
- Arranging social activities
- Performing housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming and cleaning
- Assisting in personal hygiene and dressing
- Providing companionship, friendship and emotional support
- May do shopping and run errands
- Provides general household assistance, emotional support, care and companionship for aged or disabled people
Mandatory Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
To be considered for this position, candidates must demonstrate the following criteria:
- Qualifications: A minimum of an AQF Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care/Disability) or a higher, relevant vocational qualification is required.
- Experience: A minimum of one year (12 months) of full-time (or equivalent part-time) paid experience providing direct client care (Aged or Disabled Carer) is essential.
- Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in all personal care tasks and adherence to safe work practices, including manual handling.
- Certifications: Current certifications in
First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) must be held.
- General: A valid Australian Driver's License, access to a reliable vehicle, and a current Australian National Police Check are mandatory.
