Greater Hume Council is seeking a motivated and reliable Projects Operator to join our dynamic Project Team delivering a diverse range of civil and infrastructure projects across the Greater Hume region.
Working alongside an experienced Ganger and a small, supportive crew, this hands‑on role contributes to projects that directly improve the safety, functionality and appearance of our communities. From signage installation and concrete works to footpath upgrades and drainage maintenance, no two days are the same.
This position offers the opportunity to operate a variety of Council-owned and hired plant and equipment while developing your skills across a broad range of civil construction and maintenance activities. About the Role
- Assisting with the renewal and installation of road and community signage.
- Undertaking concrete works, including footpath maintenance, repairs and upgrades.
- Carrying out minor drainage maintenance and infrastructure improvements.
- Operating and maintaining a range of civil construction plant and equipment.
- Supporting the delivery of infrastructure and capital works projects across the Greater Hume region.
- Working collaboratively within a small team while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and productivity.

This position is based at Council's Culcairn Works Depot and works 38 hours per week on a 9-day fortnight. The salary range is $1,197.90 to $1,341.60 gross per week, plus 12% superannuation.
