$70 per hour + super | 6-month contract | Full-time | Hybrid
Candidates must be available for the full duration of the contract. Planned leave can be accommodated over the Christmas/New Year period from 21 December to 1 January only. Candidates who prefer to work through the shutdown period may do so, excluding public holidays.
The role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and delivering internal communications for frontline, field, operational and corporate employees
- Writing, editing and publishing clear and engaging employee communications
- Building relationships with employees and leaders across operational and technical environments
- Proactively identifying stories, communication needs and opportunities across the business
- Translating technical, safety and business information into accessible, practical content
- Producing content across channels including intranet, digital screens, employee updates, newsletters and work-group communications
- Supporting broader internal and external communications initiatives
- Providing communications advice to leaders, business partners and key stakeholders
- Supporting employee engagement, EVP and employer-of-choice initiatives
- Managing communications activities from initial concept through to delivery
- Coordinating with internal stakeholders and creative partners where required
- Bringing fresh ideas and creative approaches to employee communications
- Managing competing priorities and delivering quality work in a fast-paced environment
About you
To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally bring:
- Experience in an Internal Communications Advisor, Communications Advisor, Employee Communications or similar role
- Strong writing, editing and editorial capability
- Demonstrated experience communicating with frontline, field-based, operational or technical workforces
- Confidence building relationships with employees, leaders and stakeholders across different business areas
- The ability to simplify technical or complex information without losing the key message
- Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive approach to finding stories and generating content
- Strong initiative, reliability and end-to-end ownership of your work
- The ability to adapt quickly as priorities change
- Excellent organisation skills and confidence managing competing deadlines
- The ability to work autonomously and deliver under pressure with minimal supervision
Experience within utilities, energy, infrastructure, transport, construction, engineering, manufacturing or other operational environments will be highly regarded.
Experience using platforms and tools such as SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Canva or Adobe will also be advantageous.
