Our client, a large Government Department, is looking for 3x Senior Software Engineers for an initial contract until 30 June 2027 with a possibility to extend by a further 2x 12 months. This is a senior hands-on AWS development role designing, building and delivering secure, scalable cloud-native applications, APIs, microservices and integrations.
In this role, you will perform the following tasks but not limited to:
- Design and develop secure, scalable cloud-native applications, APIs and integration solutions on AWS.
- Build modern serverless, event-driven and containerised solutions using contemporary AWS technologies.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code and automated CI/CD deployment pipelines.
- Provide technical leadership across design, development, testing, deployment and production support.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions within Agile teams.

To be successful, you must have the following skills / experiences:
- Strong commercial software engineering experience using Java, Python, Node.js, JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
- Solid hands-on experience developing and deploying solutions within AWS environments.
- Experience with modern application development including APIs, microservices, serverless and/or containerised solutions.
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD, ideally using Terraform, CloudFormation or AWS CDK.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to contribute to technical design and provide leadership within a development team.
- NV1/NV2 clearance.
You must be an Australian Citizen to be eligible to apply. This is a Canberra-based role, with full-time office presence required for the first 3 months.
